Rear window problem

Rear window problem

All windows went down by themselves even though key was on table in house. Upon going outside, manually raised windows but rear wont go up (driver side rear). Any ideas ?

A short. Vag-com will be helpful in tracking this down.

I would open the door with the window problem and check wires in the rubber boot for any shorting.

I had similar (two) issues with my 2002 A6 the other day except it was my rear right window kept thinking something got caught in between and would not go up all the way.

For me one of the issue was due to the "spinning barrow" door lock. After I adjusted the barrow to it's neutral position it seems to be better for the all-window-down problem for now.

My rear window could be shorted like GTA mentioned, or the regulator is bad.

Both issues need some work still.
