Hello to all. I hope to buy S3 at the end of this year. I have two doubts. First it is that color but is adapted for this car. Second it is if the system of Audio BOSE with D'S shipper has a quality and very good power of sound or on the contrary with any apparatus of Alpine quality, Clarion, etc is easy to obtain a better sound.

RADIO
I have an S3 with the Bose system in it. I have to admit that it is very good but
not as good as the ones on the Mercedes. Depends what you want to do. If you just want to listen music normaly, it's great. If you are the kind of person who likes to have the best, loudest radio of the parking maybe you should go for an installation made by a specialist. Another good thing is that the radio fits perfectly in the car.
COLOUR
For the colour, I personally went for black. Not very original but I took the seats in grey leather, it looks great!
In grey it is OK but not special looks more like a regular car. I saw the car in yellow, it is superbe. But would you be able to drive a yellow car everyday? In red looks very nice in the catalogue but in real looks really bad.
Concerning the inside, I found that it is better totally in leather and not half with alcantara. If it is black outside and you have blue/black inside, much more sportive and not so bad but never grey outside! The grey/black inside is really not nice.
Anywat whatever colour you choose with the radio you like, it is a grat car.

That is a very good point about the red car in the brochure.

It has definately been colour re-touched to make the car more photographic. In real it is like a Plastic red rather than metalic / shiny red.

It is a good warning to all prospective buyers, especially those who order the new 2001 model in a new colour when the cars have not build built yet (Nogaro Blue / Goodwood green) . Make sure you look at the cars colour before ordering. My S3 in Ming Blue looks totally different to the colour swatch in the brochure.
