I was in for 30K service 2 months ago and had the CEL light on - they cleared it and said to call if it came back on and that just in case they had ordered an intake valve part for my car since that is what was causing the problem.

CEL Light is back on now for weeks and I called the dealer who says yes part is on order but it's coming from that exotic country "Germany" and 2 months to wait is not so bad..It's on back order or at least they think so.

still no part and CEL is on.. feels sluggy but maybe that is due to it needing tune up at 35K

Is this a new REV'd intake valve part or are they just replacing it with a new old rev part?

sorry I don't know the part number but just wondering if anyone with a 2.0T had it replaced and if in fact the part is new and improved. Anyone else have to wait for this part yet?

I did search and I do see info about replacing 3 intake valve pieces but this is just one part the dealer has ordered and I think it is a new rev or unofficial recall type deal

Currently there is a recall on intake cams in Germany on cars in a certain VIN range. The cams are soft and wearing. The US cars are effected as well but the TSB / dealer bulletin has not been released in the US.
