I am waiting for a TDI 110 SE from Intercar in Holland. I was originally told week 20 (last week) this has now been put back by "about 3 weeks". One of the reasons given for the lack of a definite date was that the factory was changing codes because of a model year change (presumably a half year change). I checked if this meant a change of engine to 115BHP/6 speed but this is apparently not the case. Does anyone know what the half year changes are? Has anyone taken delivery of a RHD TDI from Europe recently ? How long did you wait ?

I'm waiting for an A3 Tdi 110S from Belgium - original date April (ish) - now expected week 26 July (ish) . . . maybe!

Don't know anything about changes though but am also interested.

Hi there!

Last weekend I visited a local audi dealer.
I am going to order a TDI 110bhp next month and
so I asked for the model changes and new engines.
The A3 receives a slight facelift. Clear glasses
for the frontlights (like the S3) and other
optical changes (he could not tell me exactly
what and how it will look like, but said that
the changes are minor). Next year a new TDI with
130bhp and six gears will be available, the 115bhp
will not be produced with the A3.
The new TDI will get the "Pumpe-Düse" (dont know
how this is translated) technology and about 310Nm.

First facelifted A3s should be available after the
summer holidays - maybe they are changing right now
the production.

I'm sure these are not "half year" changes but are revisions for the 2001 year models that usually start being manufactured mid August onwards.Chassis numbers are needed !! Paul ag Audi do you have any information?
