hello everyone, new here, I had just recently bought a 2010 a3 quattro 2.0T FSI (93,000 miles) with the DSG transmission, Ive recently noticed that when I let off of the accelerator I hear a rattling or almost ticking sound that seems to be coming from underneath the car. with the car in park it will also make the same noise and does sound like it is coming from under the vehicle, I was thinking that it could possibly be the clutches in the transmission? broken or cracked steel plate? or friction dics?

Do a google search for dual mass flywheel and see if it's the same sound. DSG transmissions are prone to this failure.
