Traction issues with Michelin Primeras
Does anybody have experience with replacing the Primeras. If I put more than 1/2 throttle in first gear I spin the tires; they have to go. Are replacements significantly better in dealing with this. Also are 235/ is place of 225/ significantly better. Thanks

Driver error . . . . need to get used to modulating the throttle better.
Also, depending on how long you've had the tires, you may still be using the first one or two/32nds which generally are not representative of the true capabilities of the tires.
I'm running on craptastic Pirelli P6 all seasons but don't have any issues spinning the tires. I can def spin the tires if I want . . . but its pointless.
Unless you plan on doing some serious driving, the pilot primacy is a decent tire for the everyday consumer.

Yes they do, but to keep the sporty nature, they do allow a bit of spin before kicking in.
So you need to feed in the throttle progressively to avoid spin - like any sporty car.

I have a stick - which is less prone to wheelspin from a stop. I can modulate the clutch, while
the DSG controls that aspect for you. They made it pretty aggressive so that that the car would feel sporty - but that means you need to pay attention to how much gas you give the car when starting out.
That said, yes, I went from accidently chirping the front tires on slick surfaces, to never doing it unless I plan to.

I got the feel for it now after 4 weeks but I don't like it
I wonder if going PS2 or T1R is going to change things significantly since I haven't driver an A3 with them on; I can keep from spinning if I want to. To me it feels like the car need a lot more rubber on the ground. I've been driving RWD cars for a long time and I'm trying to get used to this.
