Various A3 bits and pieces, Tim Stiles Racing question...
As I posted earlier, I still have some A3 1.8 T parts for sale - the 4 standard alloys and tyres, and a pair of Ming Blue wing mirrors, if anyone is interested.
Also, has anyone had any good / bad experiences with the having their A3 1.8T chipped at Tim Stiles Performance? I believe it's the AMD chip they use, and at £500 as opposed to just under £1000 for the Oettinger mod that I'd thought of earlier, it seems too good to be true. Or is it simply that the Oettinger mod is overpriced?
Finally, for anyone who remembers my previous thread about fitting 18x8 alloys to my A3, it's all working out fine - using a 35 offset and Yokohama 40 profile tyres, there is no wheelarch scraping, and less of a drop in ride comfort than I or any of the other non-believers out there predicted!
Thanks to anyone who contributed to that thread, and one last thing - anyone who has been looking for an additional magazine for their 'Audi' CD changer (and gave up the idea having been quoted fifty odd quid for it by a main dealer) will be glad to hear that several shops in Tottenham Court Road have the Panasonic original part for £18!

I used to have an 1.8T chipped to 200hp. All the prparation has been done in Italy by a guy call Orlando. Really big difference. But don't forget to lower your car. So much better.

The Oettinger chip is over priced, I have the AmD chip and it is very good, drives f***ing lovely, makes it very quick, btw the cheapest way to get a second magazine for your cd changer is to nick one out of a loan car
