Vibration with A3 2.0 TFSI DSG ?
I think I read somewhere that the tiptronic in the 2009 A4s actually disengages the transmission when the car is sitting still with the brake pedal depressed. This is supposed to greatly reduce vibration, especially with with the 2.0 TFSI. Does the DSG in the new A3 have a similar feature?

And it's very noticable. FWD is all contained on a subframe, the odd firing of a 4 cyl
consentrates and enhances the motor vibration. Course sticking a bunch of rubber isolators and counter-rotating shafts help smooth things out.
My wife had a Honda in which the whole dash would vibrate while sitting in drive at a stop light and was particularly horrible once the a/c was turned on.
Audi has solved this harmonic perfect storm.
