Default We did a trip to vegas and bought the FM POS>.. We figured Dessert NP ...it sucked., Do not buy.

Suck it up and buy the $180 piece and be done with it.. Or... Just buy SD cards.

Default Go to the Apple store at KoP or Suburban Square and get one of these...

...if you're desperate for a quick fix. (Do NOT get the Belkin FM transmitters - they define suckage.) Then order a DICE interface from enfigcarstereo.com when you realise you want better quality sound.

If you prefer quality over quantity with your music, rip your music as uncompressed AIFF files for original CD quality sound from the iPod. I have 30gig of AIFFs on mine, and it's soooo much better sounding than MP3 compression.

Email me if you want to get together, I'll set you up.

http://www.amazon.com/Monster-Cable-AI-IP-FM-CH-iCarPlay-Transmitter/dp/B00019068G</a

Default Questions

Can you convert purchased I-Tunes music to something that can be read off of SD cards?

Does the Icelink work with Audi Nav?

Default I've tried a few of the fm transmitters, the ONLY one even remotely worth it

is the one made by Monster, it's nice, it charges the iPod, has it's own power source so it has decent signal strength. It's not perfect but the only one worth spending any money on.

Yes. Burn as audio CD & re-rip as MP3 at your desired bit-rate.

Default MD, use the SD slots. You already paid for an Audi version of an IPOD. Return

the Ipod unless you're using it to run, workout, or at work. Get a couple 2gb sd cards for about $75 total. Load your mp3 on them and call it a day. Controllable with your steering wheel. Display in your dash. SD cards are cheap now. Oh and I have a lot of music for you. I'll be in Elkins Park this weekend.

Default Thanks guys........

I really did want this Nano for like flights, beach, during sex. so I can't justify the $ for the ICE. and, I have 2-1gb cards in the slots already, loaded w Boxcar Willie songs. and more CD's to shuffle than, well, homeless people. so I may try the Monster FM thingie (that's the one I was looking at) found it for 29$. we'll see.
peace.
Z.
