What size SD card?

So I picked up a card and started fooling around with it...
First i had to do a search to figure out why it was saying 'corrupted files' or something to that effect. Ends up you need to reformat the card as msdos especially if you are on a mac. Did that and it worked fine. Was happy to see that you can use folders to help organize. MUCH better than the ipod kit. Only problem is it won't read some of my files that are .m4a files. Anyone know of any freeware for mac that will convert those to mp3?
