Default where the hell is the CD changer connector???? :(

anyone has a pinpoint location of the cd changer connector in the rear left side trunk of my 1.8t a3? is it round/square shape? 'cause i've look in it and there is no unplugged socket. mine is with audiconcert system.

a picture or simple drawing of the location would be great

it makes me soooooo frustrated....

What year is your car?

I beleive that from 2001 model onwards Audi stopped fitting the wiring as standard.

mine is 2002 model. had a facelifted headlights and taillights.
here in indonesia. all audi (a3,a4,a6,a8,allroad) don't equipped with cd changers, except for a4 symphony, which has bose sound system

so, if i order oem cd changer for my car, does it include the connecting wire or do i had to order separately

o, poor me..... (((((((((

You could go for a Sony 6 CD Changer, with the correct adapter, for half the price of the Audi unit. That comes with all the necessary cables. I'm getting mine fitted tomorrow.

If you order one now, I imagine that you won't get the lead. As Nick says, go for an aftermarket one that includes all cables. Speak to an audio specialist if unsure what you're getting.

Default Finally my CD player works!

After a small problem, my new Sony CD changer works with my Chorus head unit. The small problem was with the adapter unit, which meant that only the left hand channel worked. This is quite common apparently.

The CD changer and head-unit now work perfectly with each other, just as if it was the more expensive Audi/Panasonic unit.

Try this web site. You can get the adapters separately, but I don't know if they work with any other cd changers. Note that although the changer has the capability for CD text, the Audi head unit doesn't.

http://www.soundontop.co.uk</a
