why doesn't the a3 have roof rails??? not even as an option?

Default why doesn't the a3 have roof rails??? not even as an option?
i was considering an a4 2.0t avant or an a3 3.2, and i was leaning to the a3, but i really want roof rails!

As far as I know it is a special order, factory install only

Default Somebody posted a cross section of how the rails are mounted, and it's not something
you'd do after the fact - at least without voiding posdtions of your warranty when it comes to rust and water tightness.

Default :-/ Lame. I have the rails on my '07 with open sky.
Maybe they were talking about some of the cross bars that block open-sky from opening?
