I am not sure who asked me, but someone on this forum asked about how my tint/smoke film that I typically use on tail lights would look like if it was applied over a chrome finish, to give it a gunmetal chrome or hyper black type finish/look to it. What I did for this car is probably going to be close or similar to that as it is going to get for the moment, unless someone does come by to actually have me apply the film over their chrome pieces.

This is something different and new that I haven’t done before. I had blacked out the chrome trimming on this Lexus IS350 sedan in the past, but this time the owner of the car had me apply my tint/smoke film, which is what I normally use on the tail lights I’ve posted, to the front center emblem of the car to slightly tone it down. The pictures I took of it inside aren’t the best, since the lighting was pretty dark. However, you can still get an idea of how it looks like before/after the film was applied.

The owner of this black Audi A4 B8 sedan had me black out the chrome window trim on his car with my matte black vinyl material. There was a small fire somewhere after the car was done, so it caused the pictures to have a weird hue in them, so don’t mind that. Either way, I think the matte black finish over the chrome completely changed the look of the car on this black Audi. It gave the car a sporty look while still looking OEM and like it came from the factory that way. The owner of this car came out to me in Anaheim Hills/Orange County to have the vinyl wrap work done.

Had this white Audi a4 sedan come in a bit late, so the pictures aren’t the greatest, since I had to take the pictures inside. For this car, we went with the gloss black vinyl finish for the roof of the car, to give it the panoramic roof look and so that it’d match the glass sunroof as well. The car already had blacked out the majority of the other chrome pieces on the car, so the gloss black roof really tied everything in very well. The owner of this car was from around Los Angeles I believe and came out to me in Anaheim Hills/Orange County to have the vinyl work done.

This is a repeat customer of mine from one of my norcal/bay area trips. I typically make trips up there 2-4 times a year, depending on how busy I am down here in socal. I have had people in other areas, such as the east coast ask if I will be making a trip out there, and I do have some future plans in the works for that. For this silver/grey Audi A8, he had me wrap the chrome trim/accent on the rear bumper with the 3M 1080 gloss carbon fiber finish, to give it a slightly different look. It’s a small subtle change, but it does give the car a slightly more aggressive and sportier look, to an otherwise larger luxury styled car.

I blacked out the chrome window trim on this black Audi A5 coupe with my matte black material. For this car, we went with the matte black finish over the gloss black finish to give it some contrast with the gloss black paint on the car. This was one of the cars that I did during my trip up to norcal/bay area. The matte black trim went well with the darker colored wheels as well. Completely changed the look of the car and gave it a more aggressive/sporty look, while still maintaining an OEM look as well.

The owner of this white Ferrari FF coupe has had several of his previous cars worked on by me in the past for different vinyl wrap projects. *For his Ferrari FF, we went with the my gloss black vinyl materials for the roof of his car to give it a panoramic roof look and also give it a more aggressive look. *Even though the car already stands out from other cars, the gloss black roof really changed the look of the car even more in a positive way. *The owner of this car was local to me in Yorba Linda and came out to my shop in Orange County to have the vinyl work done. *Also, the purple hue in the pictures was because this car was finished just as the sun was going down and the lighting of the sky was a bit purpleish that day, which translated over into the pictures.

The owner of this brand new 2015 Audi A3 sedan came by to have me vinyl wrap the chrome/brushed aluminum window trim of his car with my gloss black vinyl material. We went with gloss black to give it a factory OEM look. The lighting made it a bit hard to take pictures of the white car, but I was able to take some close ups of the car, which showed the transformation and details better. The owner of the car came out to me in Anaheim Hills/Orange County to get the vinyl work done.

I have never seen so much stupid applied to a car than this. It looks broken.

The matte also blended well with the rubber/weather trim that runs around along the window trims as well. It worked out that the owner of this car was able to come back another day for me to take pictures of it in the sun light, so now you guys have an idea of how the wrapped trim looks like in dim vs bright lighting.

The blacked out trim looks good on all colors of cars, in my opinion, and it really cleans up the sides of the car fairly well. Gives the car a more sporty look without looking too modified. It looks as if it came from the factory like this.
