Default 2015 S3 v A3 Handling / Ride comparison?

First up - I've not driven an A3 - but everything reported so far, appeals.

An S3 probably appeals even more, but like others, I'm concerned that the ride might just be a tad TOO firm for beautiful NJ road surfaces.

I wondered just how variable the various driving "modes" might be in an S3 and whether "comfort" mode in an S3 might be just about perfect.

Can I solicit opinions from other forum members?

Thanks

The Drive select modes don't affect the suspension, unless I believe you go for what is now the new Audi Magnetic Ride option (£995 add on) with it. That then tailors your ride per the Drive select option as well as allowing you to select 2 modes on the suspension.

I've got an A3 Sportback 2013 S-Line model and I opted for the non lowered suspension which raises the car back up as it would be on a normal SE model. Pretty glad I did as i've not had any issues with scrapes over road speed humps and the ride on the motorway / city is really comfortable. There wasn't the Audi Magnetic Ride option when I bought the car , but it seems quite excessive, you'd have to test drive an A3 with and without that to really be able to decide if it's worth going for
