Dog in S3
Hi Everyone;
I am about to adopt a dog for a first time and I'm looking to adopt a medium/large size dog.
I am looking for suggestions regarding how should I carry my dog in my S3. Of course I don't want any scratches on the door panel nor the seats. I've google and there are some generic seat covers for the rear seats on Amazon for $20-50 which weren't bad.
If you guys have a picture of your setup that would be awesome !
Also, my last resort is to trade my S3 for an Q3/Q5 or A4-Allroad or A3 E-tron.

Congrats on adopting a dog! And being any owner of a Mythos Black S3! We have 2 dogs. German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees. I have the S3 and my wife a Q5. Sadly, the dogs do not ride in either. I actually purchased a 2001 Ford Ranger pickup and put a cap on it. Partly for the dogs, partly for doing projects at home. One of my best purchases ever! But this doesn't answer your question or help you at all. Sorry. Prior to the Q5, wife drove a Subaru Tribeca. Larger cargo area than the Q5. We had a 'gate' mechanism to prevent the dogs from jumping into the back seat as well as a cargo area pad for the carpet. Depending on your dog's personality, he/she may not sit still and tend to slobber up the windows, plastic trim and get hair on the carpet. Part of owning a dog unfortunately. If your dog is well behaved, they make a seatbelt device to restrain them somewhat and you could probably get by with one of the seat covers you mention. If the dog wants to move around, another story. Good luck.

We used something called Dog Hammock that covers both back of the front seats and all the way to the rear seat/back. It works pretty well for us. We didn't witness any scratches at all on our X4. (for the last 2 years at least). BTW, we got a 80Lbs black lab puppy...

I'm hesitant to put my two rottweilers and lab mix in the back of the RS3 when it gets here. However, if I had a RS4 Avant I would haul them in it in a heartbeat since I could put them in the cargo area. Stupid we can't get really versatile cars because people are dumb and buy more vehicles than they need.
