Default How 'bout an S3 intake thread?

It looks like we have a choice of APR and Revo and the price is similar.

Has anyone pulled the trigger on an aftermarket intake and if so, Your input please?

I have a APR intake and there Turbo Muffler Delete. Very satisfied with the fit and finish. The sound is an improvement, although not loud by any means.

I have been looking into intake options since the beginning. Still waiting for more options at this point.

To list a few I have seen off the top of my head.

APR, AFE, CTS, Neuspeed, VWR, HFI and Injen, to name a few.

I'm personally waiting on AWE Tuning and ROC Euro for their intakes to make my decision.

One advantage that you have that I don't is teh cooler temps. In teh summer time when it's 100 degreees here, I don't want to be pulling hotter air from my engine bay.

I knew I was going to go with APR when I first saw it. The fact it pulls air from the outside is exactly what I was looking for. In addition, the appearance of their intake didn't hurt one bit.

I wouldn't say it is an advantage. I'd trade you my cooler temps for your not needing to deal with snow and salt!

Was the install on the turbo muffler delete a pain?

Since an intake flags the warranty, and doesn't do a whole lot, I'm staying away. Never thought I'd say this.... BC im a modder, and then some. But this tD1 bs is scary. And there just isn't enough of a gain to mess with an intake, especially for $500!

Now, if you have to chip the car, may as well do an intake, if you have $500 to burn.
