Default No more S3 2017 Factory Orders...

Well I recently posted that I ordered an S3,

Dealer called today and told me the factory is no longer accepting 2017 orders for the S3(Possibly all of the A3/S3 line).
He told me to wait until the 2018 pricing is out and said they will try to keep my price the same (doubt it).

So I guess that means I will be one of the first people with a 2018 S3? And the 7-speed transmission we've been hearing about here in the states!

The price should be close. A few hundreds more.

My dealer informed me last week that my 2017 S3 order was moved to model year 2018 so I think I am ahead of you on the first to have an '18 S3 list ;<)

Dealer also informed me no change to engine HP or transmission - the 2018 will have a 6 speed, same as 2017

Whoah! That's definitely strange because I had thought it had been clearly reported that the next model year would definitely have a 7-speed S-tronic gearbox. So ultimately it seems Europe is still getting a better spec than we are

I too was hoping I would get the rumored upgrade to the 7 speed when I was informed my S3 order was moved to 2018. I'm just reporting what my dealer told me. I've seen nothing in the literature about a 7 speed for the USA S3.
