Default Prospective A3 Buyer's Questions

Just trying to figure it out. This particular vehicle is a '16 Base A3 with 30k miles. Trying to get quote on extended warranty, but the dealer is a bit snotty.

Also drove it and had a sudden loss of power... tach showed 2000rpm but car would not accelerate. That happened 3 times from home to work (10 miles) I did notice the miles to empty were 80.

Dealer said it did not throw any codes so they could not do anything.

Curious

Do you own this car or looking to purchase? If the latter, walk away.

Is it from an Audi dealer, also is it CPO? Never driven an A3, but the sudden loss of power definitely doesn't sound right, especially if it isn't throwing any lights or codes.

Why would you buy a car that didn't perform right on the test drive? You wouldn't take delivery of a new car with problems. To me it's too much of a gamble. Especially considering you don't know the cause of the issue.

I like the car and it's a good price. It needs alignment and new tires and the Audi Dealer did an inspection and found nothing else. It has 1 year and 20k miles left on warranty and I'm thinking of a service contract?
