Default RS3 winter tires

Yes a little early to be thinking of winter considering it is not even summer yet but has anyone given consideration to a wheel/tire package for winter? I received the attached document for winter wheel options from the Audi dealership but the RS3 package is a whooping $3200! I also checked out tirerack.com but they only have 19" tires without the rims. Anyone have luck finding an inexpensive yet high quality winter package?

I also could not find a package I liked last year and bought wheels and tires separately. I purchased Neuspeed wheels for $379 a corner and bought the Pirelli winter tires from Tire Rack for another $1000. They worked perfectly through the (cold but not snowy) winter here in Virginia. I actually preferred the look of the Neuspeed wheels to the Audi wheels.

Thanks Michael. Do you have a link to the Neuspeed wheels you purchased? Any pics of your winter gear on the Audi? Sounds like that setup saves a few hundred bucks.

I'm afraid that I have no photos and the wheels are stored offsite for the summer. I bought the wheels directly from Neuspeed (Wheels & Accessories). I found them to be very helpful and they have many pictures of their wheels on different models. I went with the RSe10's and used a square setup for the winter.

ahh, the painful memories from late last summer trying to find winter wheels with no specs anywhere. I went with the Neuspeed's in 18" per the attached post. My Nokian's wore more than I was expecting this past season, and will probably do Michelin Alpin's in September. I don't believe Alpin's are an option in 19".
