If you would have actually closely Watched & Listened to the guy removing the rear seats in the RS3 ????????????
You would have instantly caught him say, (I Laid-Down the Rear-Seats-FLAT 1st).
That's why I posted the video for "You" so there would be no question in your mind about if the rear seats in an RS3 could be laid down ???
That same video showed BOTH Rear-Seats laid down FLAT as he continued to explain how to remove them for competition.

but with split-folding rear seats,
there’s still some versatility at your disposal.

At 10.0 cubic feet, the RS3’s trunk isn’t massive, but with split-folding rear seats,
there’s still some versatility at your disposal.

I am so confused by reading this thread. I have no clue what that guy Terry is trying to say lol. All A3/S3/RS3 rear seats fold down.... you do not need to unbolt the rear seats lol. The storage space in my RS3 is actually quite great. I move myself in and out of college and it has plenty of room. I even put a 60 inch curved TV with the seats folded down easily! No need for a larger S4, one of my favorite things about my RS3 is its small but still extremely livable size. I put skis and hockey gear in my car all the time and that fits no problem as well.

Thanks. Yea I was a bit confused by the video showing a guy unbolting the seats completely. Confirmed myself too that the seats do fold down. Odd that audiusa website says N/A for fold down capacity. What an awesome car.
