Time for new 19" tires. Question.
It's time for a new set of 19" tires. Since it's my wife's DD she'd like a tire that was a little quieter than the stock Conti's.
Handling performance is not important to her.
Can anyone recommend tires they've tried and we're happy with that we're quieter than the stock tires ?
Thank you !

I literally just had some Conti DWS06's installed a few days ago, from all the good things I hear about them in the forums. And so far they are great! I had the stock summer tires on before I changed to the DWS06's and they drive just as smooth and don't sound any louder. I really got them for next season's snow because I plan on getting a new rim/tire set for this summer but for the meantime I have no complaints.

Will post results--probably 2-3 months from now. Will not be putting them on until sometime in April as Continental is having a promo/rebate then.
If anyone is interested I am selling my oem Conti ProContac's. pm me if interested.

Know what you mean. 40 yrs ago I was a ralley driver & campaigned a Datsun 510. Later owned 3 911's & a Ferrari Dino 246GTS. Always went for good handling. Now I am 80+ so priorities have changed. Still like a good twisty road.
Present tires are A/S 18" so don't expect much handling chg.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3. I've had these one a couple of my last Audis. Switched out the Conti's from my current TTS and immediately noticed the difference. Also recently traded the '08 A6 for the '13 A6 which came with Cont's and can't wait until they wear out to get back into Michelins.

'15 S3 DWS06 - So far so good. Not as great a grip from the stock summers but great all rounders. Used to have Michelin A/S3s on my old S4 and they're just a bit better in stiffness and handling than the DWS06, not by much though. The DWS06s are quieter though.
