Default Used M2 vs RS3

Hello!
I am planning on purchasing a used RS3. I live in Sothern California, USA..
There are like 10+ used BMW M2s for sale but I see no RS3 in my area.
I am guessing RS3 is not really a big seller in the states?
Or would there be any other reasons why there aren't so many rs3..!?
Thanks !

They only started selling them stateside in 2017 and the numbers were low both years so far. You'll find threads about how the 2019 model year orders are severely delayed. There are MY 2020 M2s available, but not a single 2019 RS3 in the Americas that I know of, and they've been slinging M2s since 2015 (MY 2016) so there is a lot more to choose from.

RS3 is really a pretty rare car, we ordered in oct and it may get here in june/july....Unless its the "new" M2 Competition I dont care for the M2, and we have had 4 M3's over the years....IMHO

Like others have said the production numbers of RS3's coming to the US have been low and 2019 will probably be a slightly better year if they ever get here. M2 on the other hand are all over the place, like mentioned above the better of the M2 is the latest Comp version and its pretty much an all new car compared to the previous M2. Due to the low volume of the RS3 to date you are going to be hard pressed to get a good deal on one, where a M2 you shouldn't have too hard of a time especially in California. If you want to entertain a M3/M4 there are plenty also on the used market for a decent price, I will be looking to sell mine M3 Comp soon and the amount they drop over 3 years is pretty astonishing.

Thank you all for the inputs guys!
So I guess it's just that there aren't enough coming to the states.

There are some on Cargurus.com just search nationwide. I've bought a couple cars I found through that site.

BHD88,

I'm a very-very long term Car guy and here is some FREE information.

If you like pulling up to a stop light and seeing the same car your sitting in only a different color ???
Go with any of the BMW's buddy.

On the other hand if you love pulling up to a stop-light and people looking to see what's sitting beside them ???
That would be you owning the Audi RS3

I have had a bunch of the BMW's in past years.

Never-Ever owned an RS3 but soon will.

Terry

Around here, nobody except the very few car enthusiasts would notice an RS3 anymore than they would a Kia. To me, that's the fun part: Stoplight drags with the unsuspecting muscle car guys
