Yesterday I could not login as a user. My name was there, but I was not able to click on it and it defaulted to guest. It also was throwing a warning that my SOS dialing was no longer going to work. It lasted about 1 hour and then sorted itself out mid Drive. Anyone had a similar experience ?
Also can you tie different ambient lighting to different drive modes>?

That's just one of the many idiosyncrasies of the user interface. Mine is hit or miss, sometimes it recognizes the user, other times it doesn't. Same goes for my phone, many times I have to plug it in for Android Auto to show-up. Same for my wife's iPhone.

No!

I haven't found any way to do it. I even checked OBDeleven but I may have missed it.

It can be turned off, or you can adjust the volume of it. I forget exactly where the setting is, but it’s in the MMI.

Anyone worried the car is spying on them? Article in Yesterday's WSJ that cars are sending data back to the manufacturers and then to the insurance companies. Obviously i made my data private, but it still worries me.
