09 Audi a5 manual transmission shifting weird.
Hello everyone, I recently replaced my clutch and flywheel but now when the car is turned off I can easily go into any gear I want but as soon as I turned it on I have trouble shifting into reverse and first gear and second gear. Any other gear goes in smooth while driving. I'm thinking something is wrong with the new clutch but I'm not sure. I had all the work done at the dealership and I don't want to go back😣. What are you guys opinions? Or have any one experience this?
Thank you

I would suspect a flywheel that’s not releasing completely or a defective throw out bearing. The gears you are specifying are the “big” gears in your transmission so attempting to shift into them while the engine is running — without a complete clutch release — would be difficult.
I am NOT a driveline expert, but I had a similar problem with my last manual transmission and it was related to a defective throwout bearing causing a situation with the pressure plate.
Good Luck
