I'm sure there have been a ton of discussions on this topic but my main question is which stage 1 software upgrade tuning provides the smoothest power.
I've read APR can be a bit spiky and that GIAC is smoother power.
Looking for linear torque with smooth acceleration through the curve for my 2013 S5.
Any experience on this?

I have about 85% of parts to finish my 2013 S5 but cant decide between APR & GIAC I really think APR can get more out of the car especially with the ultra charger & how that comes with a tune upgrade but the problem is you have to take your car to them whenever you want to change anything while GIAG does alll over the air tunes & they will work with you & your log reports to gt the most out of your car I myself am worried about mixing Ultracharger with GIAG apr is already set for it but I have to drive an hour for them to adjust things they need to be able to do all over the air after initial visit & id be all over them
