Default My RS5 Cabrio (B8) is back in the family

I picked up a 2013 RS5 Cabriolet back in 2014 w/ 3900 miles on it, sold it about 18 months later when I wanted something else(short attention span with my cars.) Loved the car but I was tight on room and something needed to go. The other day I noticed my old RS5 (same VIN) was for sale at a dealer about 15 miles away now with 34k miles on it but still in great condition (and I had AudiCare on the car and the owner after me took it to my same dealer and had all the service done (they showed me all the paperwork.) The price was right so I picked it up and shipped it down to Arizona were we have kept my wife's TT roadster as a "fun" car for when we are vacationing down there. So we will sell the TT and the RS is once again back in the family. Funny thing is that I looked at my key rack at home and the spare emergency key with the deal key tag was still hanging there from the first time I owned the car... I guess I knew it would be back some day. I looked at a few M4's but there is something about the Audi that kept me coming back to it. Maybe because it is a bit rare (only 92 in 2013 and 769 all years for the US market) and maybe because RS5 Cabrio's aren't seen as super desirable (heavy, compromised rigidity, $$$ maintenance, etc)… for some reason that all makes me fall in love with it a bit more.. and that motor just sounds wonderful with the top down. It will be sad to sell the TT roadster as it has been in our family since we purchased it new in 2008.. but that was before kids and now we can all ride around We will likely only put 300-400 miles a year on the RS but it for the smiles it will provide when we are down in Arizona vacationing.

(my wife quickly jumped in the car and took off after I brought it home)

Nice ! I've been driving the RS5 I picked up on weekends and the sound of the engine is intoxicating, especially the downshift throttle blips. Glad you got your baby back.

Totally made the right choice and it's the best color to boot! Far better car than the TT.
