Hey guys...not many people can see they *had* to buy an S5 cab because it's one of the only cars on the planet that fits them...but i'm one of them. At 6'8" with nearly a 7' legspan, when equipped with the less-bolstered neck-heat seats, I sit so low that i clear the steering wheel and can actually drive it comfortably. I have heard/read the horror stories about the convertible tops/headliners failing but since it fits me and it's so fun to drive i took a chance and got it for a good price. Unfortunately, the achilles heel of this car is of course the separating rear windows, and that has happened to mine as shown in the set of pics (no headliner issues...yet). Luckily the dealer added some compensation to replace to top so i'm on the look for someone that can do a quality job--but i've been quoted a confusing range of $2500-$5500 to do it! With the only real issue being the rear window comnig off form bottom ONLY i may take a chance on someone who *claims* they can fix that issue down in Ft Meyers. Everyone you ask seems to have a different opinion of what to do--perhaps by the pictures someone in the know here can give me their advice. Anyway, my main question is sun protection from the blistering FL summers since I can't fit it in my garage. I do have a car cover but that obviously isn't very handy for quick bouts in the sun. I see Amazon offers some 'sun umbrellas' such as shown, but not sure they really work.
