Default 2008 to 2017 (FL) B8.5 Audi A5 and S5 - Recommended Tire Pressures

Update 1 - Added tire pressures for 2009 to 2012MY A5 and S5 models (North America). Added 2012 to 2017MY Audi A5 tire pressures (AUSTRALIA).
Update 2 (2016-Oct-24): Added Tire pressures for 2013 - 2017 A5 and S5 Cabrio models (North America).

I have noticed that a lot of B8/B8.5 A5 and S5 owners are clueless on the recommended tire pressures for their vehicles. Worse, they forget to look for the information in the Owners Manual.

Note: What is shown on the tire label on the B-pillar (driver door jamb) are maximum load tire pressures when the vehicle is fully-loaded most of the time. Fully loaded means more than 2 front passengers most of the time.

IMPORTANT: Always reset the TPMS system after you alter (add or reduce) the tire pressure for any reason (e.g., new tires) to prevent the system from giving you a false alert.

Per on-line 2013 manual (S5), page 238:
255/35 R19 96Y High Performance Tires
Normal load (F/R psi): 39/35
Max. Load (F/R psi): 42/44

Force-1, I just looked at the Owners Manual for the 2012 and 2013 Audi S5 and the tire pressures I quoted are valid for both models.

2012: Page 250.
2013: Page 231. Page 238 does not contain any tire pressure info.

Not sure why your 2013 S5 manual quotes much higher PSI values. I looked at the manuals through the Audi Online Manuals website.

The numbers you posted caught my eye as I just traded in my 2013 S5 for a 2017 S5, and after 4 years of ownership I had the pressures memorized for the 2013.

The page 238 I'm referring to is the manual posted at Audi website.

Force-1, I now know that the tire presssures you mentioned are for the S5 cab. Someone in AZ posted the tire pressures for it and they match the values you quoted.

Yeah--that makes sense.

My 2017 came with 20" OEM wheels, and unfortunately the manual does not list TP for these tires.

The factory tire recommended pressures are located on the driver side door seal on a sticker. As you are getting out look to the left.. just below the door latch

It must be a requirement because every vehicle in the U.S. they are listed there.

I recommend you follow these 20" Tire Pressures for the 2012 S5. They should apply to your FL S5's 20" wheels:

265/30 R20 94Y High-Performance
Normal Load (F/R): 39/38 psi
Max. Load (F/R): 42/41 psi

For North America, the B-Pillar door jamb stickers only publish the maximum load tire pressures. For normal load tire pressures, they are usually found in the owners manual but not for the 20" wheels that are part of the Black Optics Plus package for 2017.
