2013 A5 2.0T Automatic Shift Question
I just picked up a used 2013 A5 cabrio 2.0T. I've come from an A6 3.0 sedan so obviously a little disappointed in the performance. One thing I've noticed is that the performance is pretty good in full manual mode. But in D or even sport S, it upshifts way too quickly. Almost seems to jump 2 or 3 gears if you slightly back off on the gas. Is this normal for this model? Or is there something either wrong or that could be reset in the computers?
thanks

Is this a quattro with the ZF8 or FWD with the CVT? Don't know, nor really care, about CVT concerns. The ZFs have a shift adaptation process you can reset, but that's about shift quality rather than shift point. And it's an Audi made since 2010, meaning it's over programmed to always go fuel economy.
I don't know if there's a way to reset the driving style adaptations of the TCU. If it has ADS (Audi drive select), dynamic for the transmission would maybe help. But I'm not sure if that's meant to be any different than just being in S. S always seemed to hold anything around 3k and under, and hold anything over that for a couple seconds before down shifting if I was off or light pedal.
Was your A6 3.0T a C7 with the same transmission (though different mechatronic and programming)? Or a C6 with the 09L (ZF 6HP19, a first gen 6-speed; unlike the second gen 6-speed 6HP28AF aka type 0B6 in mine)?
