Audi's reliability?

Audi's reliability?
To everyone who owns/has owned an Audi: How reliable is the car? Have you had to have a lot of maintenance or not? I wanna hear from everyone, those who bought it new, used, drove it to the ground, or used as an everyday driver. Just a quick reply is all I need to get a general idea. I've heard nothing but bad things about Audi's reliability IN THE PAST, not now necessarily. Would you think it depends on if you get an S, RS, or not?
Thanks for your time guys

I've had two new S4s, a 2001 and a 2005, no problems except for your typical
light bulbs and window regulators. I'm on my 3rd Audi now, which was lightly used. We'll see how this one works out. O
verall, I'm very happy with Audi's reliability, and always wonder what the general public is bitching about when they say Audi's aren't reliable.

My TT spent 3 mos of the last year I had it in the shop... some pretty
serious haldex and transmission problems... AoA was stellar about the whole thing though, mostly because I think a friend who ranks highly with them intervened, and gave me an allroad to drive in the interim and luckily all ~$12k of work was under warranty. Having said that, I'm sure the same types of things could've happened with any other type of car... except maybe a lexus, but those aren't really cars.
So far this little A4 has been flawless, but I've only put about 8k mi. on it in the last year. I don't think I ever want to own (or lease) a car, that I need for daily transport, outside of warranty.

The most common issues I've seen are electrical/electronic failures
Mechanically they are very solid, but they are prone to electrical gremlins. The only other weak point I can think of is automatic transmissions.
I've owned 2 Coupe Quattros, a 95 S6, 2002 A4 and 2002 S6. Also, my sister owns two (95 90 and 96 A4) and my best friend has one (98 A4). I may not own them but I maintain them.

nope. 959 > anything that ever had/will have torsen... NEXT!
j/k... I like them both, for different reasons... the problem with haldex in the TT, especially early on, is that it was a unique application and required certain maintenance and I don't think the service monkeys knew their heads from their asses in that regard.

Audi is now the most reliable Euro brand. My 2007 A4...
... has run perfectly for a year now. I killed the clutch early on, but that was my fault.
And yes, there have been essentially zero mechanical issues with Audi's Torsen quattro in all models produced so far. It's pretty much a bullet-proof all mechanical system.
If you want a German car that's reliable, Audi is your best bet. Both BMW and especially last place Merc are far worse.
The days of high-maintenance Audi's are a thing of the past.
