Autocheck diagnostic question
New owner here in need of a quick clarification. I bought my A5 last week and finally had time to sift through the owners manual. When the car starts up, there are no malfunction indicator lights, but when I hit the SET button, it cycles through a bunch of different icons, some red and some yellow. I assumed it was just running a self check on those categories, but then I looked in the owners manual to see that there are a bunch more icons that could show up there (BRAKE and Steering Malfunction icons dont show up, but coolant, oil pressure and alternator show up in red, and bulb, brake pads, wiper fluid, gas, alternator and oil show up in yellow).
Is this really just running through diagnostics, or do I need to have it checked out? I just topped off the coolant, put gas in it and topped off the wiper fluid, so I'm going to assume that they don't mean anything unless they show up when I turn the car on. Unfortunately my first post has to be that of a paranoid newbie, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Video here if there are any questions (skip to about 35 seconds):
