Can't turn on voice command on A5 Cabrio

Wow! You could have purchased Carista or OBDEleven for a lot less, turned it on yourself, plus made many other tweaks and changes.

Not sure if this is only for 2013 MY, but I went to have this feature activated and my dealer printed out a data sheet of all options/features on my 2013 S5 Prestige Cab. This was not available to program for me as you will see highlighted. ”Without voice control” is what is shown.

Hello. Maybe so, but I don' trust myself to tweak and do electrical or programming on my car, especially with it still under warranty. I can see myself voiding warranty out. For $150 it was worth doing it the "safe way". If rhe dealer messes up, its on them, not me.

Default Will Carista activate 2017 A5 Cabriolet MMI voice commands
I recently discovered that folks are using the Carista OBD2 and app to enable MMI voice commands on A5 Cabriolets of various vintages. Does anyone know if Carista will enable MMI voice commands on my recently purchased Premium Plus 2017 A5 Cabriolet? I realize it might be sketchy with the top down. However, with the top up my Cab is a very quiet ride. I would love to be able to use voice commands for navigation.

My dealer activated the voice command for one hour's labor ($142). It works perfectly with the top up. I haven't tried it with the top down.

I think it depends on your head unit. Mines a symphony and couldn't be activated using Carista. It looks like you need an satnav model for voice.

Default 2014 A5 Cab
I bought the Carista and went through the steps and set "voice recognition" to enabled but when I press the voice button on the wheel I still get the message "Not Available". Is there another step I was supposed to do?
