Car diagnostic help
Hello,
sorry if this is in the wrong section.
I have an Audi A5 2011. For awhile I’ve had “low key fob battery” warning when I start the vehicle and then on the motorway I lost power and now the car won’t start.
I’ve changed the battery in the key fob but the engine won’t start. I can’t hear anything click or try to “tick” over. I can lock the car, the windows go down and up and all the electrics are fine.
I have a cheap diagnostic tool and these error codes are coming up…(see below)..
The recovery guy said it may be my starter motor? Or my key needs reprogramming after the batter change?
any help would be appreciated! Thank you

The battery in the key fob is not important to starting the vehicle. You could insert the key into the dash slot and start the vehicle even if the battery was dead. Ignition clearly is coming on, the instrument cluster is turning on, etc. The key fob battery is not a concern.
If the battery voltage is fine (what is the voltage across the jump start posts, should be mid 12s, low 12s would be acceptable, anything below 12, put a charger on it until it's where it belongs), and given that particular error code, yeah, starter issue wouldn't be surprising. You might want to put ratchet on the crank bolt and be sure the engine can turn over manually, no physical blockage of the engine turning. You don't say what engine you have. If the 2.0T, always turn the engine clockwise as you're looking at the front of the engine while standing in front of the car. Never opposite of normal engine rotation. 24mm 1/2" socket on a long ratchet works fine from below. If you have a 3.2L, no idea.
You could also check the T5l plug next to the positive jump start post. The larger wire on pin 1 should go 12v when you're trying to start the engine. If not, you might look at your starter relays. If it is, then the starter is probably getting the term 50 12v that actuates the solenoid to connect the term 30 12v (from the block where the positive jump start post is) to the starter motor to spin the engine.
