Converting rain sensing wipers to intermittent wipers?
I just got a new S5 (prestige) and had the windshield tinted to 50%. Unfortunately, this seems to have negatively impacted the ability of the rain sensor to detect rain. The rain sensing wipers now wipe in the fastest mode possible, regardless of how much rain there is, and regardless of the wiper stalk sensitivity setting.
Is there any known way to modify the wipers so that they ignore the rain sensor and use a more traditional intermittent wiper behavior? A VAG-COM code perhaps? I searched for other threads discussing this issue on these forums, but I couldn't find any with S5-specific VAG-COM codes.

Thanks, Fred. Do you know if there is also a way to switch to intermittent wipers? I've never been a huge fan of rain sensing wipers anyway.
I discovered with a little googling that VW Touraegs have a VAG-COM setting to do this, but I couldn't find anything for the Audi S5.

if I remember correctly, there is a setting that says: Rainsensor installed.
this would than have to be disabled with Vag-Com.
and there is also another setting:
module 9 - byte 0 - bit 6
this should be sufficient.

Also, to the person who asked about tint laws in my state (Washington), full windshield tint isn't allowed. I went with 50% on the windshield (and 35% on the other windows) to make it less obvious, but the tint is more noticeable than I expected. We'll see how it goes. Worst case, I get a fix-it ticket and change out to a 70% or 90%. I still want the sun protection.
