edmunds tmv?
How come edmunds which usually overstates the TMV price for cars is listing the A5/S5 as an average 1K discount? I thought that pretty much everyone is paying sticker unless you have a previous relationship with the dealer. I mean I've heard of throwing in audicare but beyond that there's not much wiggle room for these cars.

any better way to get a fair price for cars? seems that most of the time with forums its only ppl who brag about their killer deal actually post what they paid.

At Edmunds, you can search the forums and read up on what the latest deals are for certain cars in certain areas. Also, check local newspaper ads and see what the loss leaders are going for. That reveals how low dealers are letting them go for. Another thing to do is email several dealers (internet/fleet department) and request the lowest possible price for a certain car. In the end you'll get a few who are serious (you should be too) and you can pit each of them againts each other or go with the one you like most. Good luck!
