Default How do you maintain battery power in advanced key?

I believe that the battery in the Q7 advanced key is recharged when you insert it into the ignition. There are no contacts on the S5 key however, that would indicate that this key does the same. Do you just have to replace the battery every year and have the service department charge you an arm an a leg for re-programming the keys?

Default Yes, there is a replaceable, non-regchargeable battery in the advanced key. You don't have to...

... reprogram the advanced key if you replace the battery. I know - I've pulled the battery out of my key several times.
