what glue did you use? Was there brackets already installed that you had to cut off or what the back smooth?

I'm plannin on getting the carbon fiber ones. How do you think that will look on a black a5?

Nice! Does anyone know if they are ways to get off? Just in case I'm not happy with the look after install.

Cant find the part number (ill hunt them down)

The top half has double sided tape, the bottom half i used urethane glue (what holds windshields and body kits)

Its PERMANENT!!!

so be careful. Ive heard stories of people using 3M double sided tape but i can imagine that with time, the tape will deteriorate from water and you may lose the rail doing 100 on the freeway.

Didn't rivet (the idea of drilling holes into the side of my car scares me) - Just used Urethane Glue.
