Default Milltek Exhaust

For those who have changed to the Milltek exhaust system (special tip), did you find it resulted in rattles due to the tight fitting of the pipes in the underbody? I had mine installed about two weeks ago and I had to go back to the shop 2 times to get the kinks worked out which seems to be resolved now.

As well, the right tip seems (IMO) seems to sit lower than the left upon first glance - it doesn't seem to have adequate support near the tip. I had mine redone and it seems more level, however still a bit lower (if you look at it long enouhg). Wondering if anyone has this issue and had any workarounds to support this tip.

All in all, very satisfied and well worth the purchase.

Default At first I had issues with sagging right side too.

the shop that cut off my resonators was able to make it tighter against the rear bumper and symmetrical on either side.

Likely your noise is coming from the bracket that goes under the pipes, my shop used washers to space it lower.

The noise was a two parter - first was the bracket that you mentioned which was fixed the first time with washers as well. The 2nd was on the left pipe's screw bracket - it was really tight with the underbody, the mechanics re-aligned it so it points downwards, so all good now.

I'm looking to see if I can get a bushing to suspend the right tip a bit higher - so I can take more weight closer to the tip.

Do you find the system to be too loud without the resonators? I find 'stock' it's perfect, a good sound in the lower speeds and then somewhat silent when cruising.. and no droning.

Default If you like it as is, keep the resonators...

but for me, this car is a toy and makes driving more of a joy rather than a chore, so making it louder simply makes it fun. It does drone at under 3,000 rpm.

Without the resonators the car sounds aggressive all the time above idle, as opposed to only at 3500+ rpm. Its so much fun to have this classy car look the part of classy, stylish, aggressive, GTer, sexy and then sound like it could perform well enough to blow away anything else under 100k at the stop light. It turns *everyones* head.
