Just bought an S5 coupe. Love the noises it makes though I wish it was just a tad louder and more aggressive. Looked at alot of threads about the AWE and Stasis exhausts. While I like em, it may be a bit too much. One reason I got an S5 was a certain level of refinement and I don't want to be obnoxiously loud (at least not all the time).
So are there any options for getting a bit more rumble without getting into a whole new exhaust system?

Replace the mid muffler with an x pipe. Will get you exactly what you are looking for. Not loud at all. Just a little more grunt. Know of a vid, will try and locate it for you.

Hey thanks. I like the sound of that, literally and figuratively. Part two, is there any downside to doing this ie warranty issues for example?

Seriously doubt it. Dealer has never mentioned any of my custom exhausts. Worse comes to worst you can swap the x pipe back out for you oem mid muffler. Would not worry about it at all.
