Morning all-

Running into a issue, and hopefully, its a small one. About a month ago, noted my oil was low, topped it off.. and about a week after, the oil pressure warning light started coming on.

The car doesn't run any differently, but the light does come on intermittently.. sometimes, I drive it to the store (short distances for the last month because I'm nervous), and sometimes, it doesn't come on at all..

I've been googling and searching the forum, and most of what I've read seems to think its the sensor..

I connected my OBDII code reader and nothing came up.. just the code on the misfires I'm having (need to replace spark plugs)..

Any thoughts, getting ready to buy a oil pressure sensor from the local Audi dealer and see if I can replace it myself.

I should add, my vehicle is a 2010 Audi S5, 4.2L V8..

Check the oil pressure sensor plug and see if there's oil leaking into there. I have an 05 4.2L and had that problem, new oil sensor and the problem went away for a couple of years. When it came back I found oil in the replacement sensor plug as well, replaced again and no light now for about the last 8 months.
