Rim & Tire Swapping...looking for help...
It appears to me that there are very limited "official" rim/tire combos for various Audis when it comes to Winter packages. I am trying to understand, if a rim/tire combo fits, would it not work, or do I have other considerations before I try this. My situation:
I have a 2018 RS5 with the factory Hankook summer tires 275/30 R20 97Y and rims (5-arm-trapezoid and I do have the dynamic package with the red brake calipers) . Now, I have my old winter tires from my previous Audi A5 (Audi Y Spoke rims and Bridgestone Blizzak Winter Tires). 255/35 R19 96H.
The new RS5 also can be ordered with 19 inch rims. So, I have a set of 19 inch rims off of an much older 2009 Audi A5, but...IF they fit, what risk, downside, problems, etc. could I encounter??? Basically, am I stupid to try this??? And if I do throw them on, outside of looking for rubbing, if they stick out, etc, what else should I look for our be concerned with??? What could go wrong???
Appreciate any guidance.
Note: the Audi dealer says the only supported rim/tire package for the 2018 RS5 is:
Pirelli Winter Sottozero Serie II AO
235/40 R19 96V XL
They want $3,150 for this combo. I don't love the rims (stock 10 spoke-star design) and don't have a spare $3k lying around.

Mark, did you consider doing a trial fit? Check clearance?

Thanks for responding. That was 100% my next step. But first, I am concerned since I see so few options I can purchase, made me think this is a bad idea. (Like my wouldn't audi allow you to buy the A5 or S5 rims for the RS5 if they fit of course). Anyway, if anyone knows technically why this is a bad idea or what could happen, love to hear that.
