S5 Cab vs. 6-Series?

While I do not like the current generation 6-series convertible, I do like the looks of the current coupe. I know, odd one out. The convertible kind of makes a mess of the already unique look of the coupe.
As far as the upcoming 6-series (and the latest 5 and 7-series) all start to look a bit too similar. Unfortunately, that does nothing for me and the next generation 3-series follows the same pattern.
BMW lost it for me with they decided not to continue the Z4 coupe and went with a hard-top (not to mention, went limp-wristed on no Z4 M, yet release an X5 M and X6 M instead). Don't get me started on the 1-series M, which technically is more akin to a 335is than a proper M model.
The only thing in MB's stable that I continue to like is the SL roadster, everything else has become a complex mess design-wise. Sure, there's some retro cache with the SLS AMG, but they destroyed it with the interior (I know what they were trying to do with the interior, but ick nonetheless).
