Throttle response?
First, let me say I've had manual transmission Audis since 1990 (Coupe, TT, B7 S4, and now S5.) But I'm having some serious issues with my S5. I tend to have a light touch on the throttle, lightly feathering in the clutch. But I have to admit I've stalled my S5 now about 20-30 times in the year I've owned it. This occurs in both 1st and reverse gears. It seems that as I gingerly step on the throttle, I get absolutely no response, and it takes some serious depressing of the pedal to get it to respond. I've never had this problem before. I had my mechanic look at it, but he said there was no problem, and I probably wasn't used to the stiff sport clutch on the S5. I find that hard to believe, since I never stalled my manual B7 S4. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it due to the electronic mapping of the throttle?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Your mechanic?!? What would your mechanic know over Audi, especially
My mechanic=my audi service advisor and the guy he works with, my audi mechanic (what are they called these days? stewardesses are now called flight attendants.)

Software auto rev on early 2008's
This phenomena was discussed (and complained of) extensively on this and other forums. It is absent on my 2009 so I think Audi must have got the message. Maybe there is a software "patch" to fix it. I know exactly what is happening because my kids 2008 Subaru Impreza does it and frankly it's makes clutch use difficult.
