Using wifi in S5?

Honestly not worth it.
I would like to think most people have smart phones with data plans so it's better to hotspot that for other devices.
I believe it's in the audi connect settings, you can set the wifi name and password.

I installed an AT&T sim card in my 2015 and it works. The connection is 3g so my LTE phone is faster but the access to Google maps and the ability to search online destinations and route to them via MMI and to link a Google Maps destination from my iPad to the MMI via Audi Connect is worth the cost of the added SIM card for me.

I got an 14 S5 earlier this year too. I tried out the WiFi for summer road trips. It was kind of a pain to set up. It bumped up the functionality of the Nav so it could actually be useful. I like Waze better. It was also so my girl could use the WiFi. I cancelled it in the fall since there'll be fewer long trips. I don't think it's really worth paying extra for it IMO.

Correct afaik. However—- some T-Mobil cars can operate with an AT&T SIM card. My 2015 works fine with one. It is on my business acct and costs only $10 per month to share the data plan.
