Very slight surging under Cruise Control
My 2010 3.2 has a very slight issue with surging while using Cruise Control at highway speeds. I can feel it, but the speedo and tach don't show any movement that I can see. I've tried various gas brands with no noticeable change, all top tier. Less than 20k on car. Auto, not 6 speed. Any ideas?

You must have a more agreeable dealer, I got the expected unable to duplicate ... working as designed. They wanted me to take them on a drive to demo it but I declined; it would take an hour's drive just to get out of traffic and onto a level freeway in order to reproduce.

Well I can sadly say my dealer didn't / wouldn't / couldn't fix the surging issue. According to them the trans in a '10 A5 isn't the same as an '09 Q5, even though they're both 3.2, so the reprogramming didn't fit my vehicle. I suppose I can't blame them; how would they know what to do without instructions from above.
Maybe I should try a 2nd dealer. The SA kept dismissing any possible problem and maintained it was all in my head. There are no codes and they couldn't feel it on a short test drive so it must not be happening. Arrgghh.

You indeed may have to try a 2nd dealer. I had a Lexus RX (pre Audi SUV days) and my local dealer would not fix the dashboard squeaks that became worse in the winter months. After many calls to Lexus, they finally set me up with a dealer about sixty miles away and they fixed the problem.
The signs out front may say the same “Audi”, but most dealerships are different as day and night for services and prices. Just last month I called two dealerships for a price on a battery replacement for my 09 Q5 – one was $330 and one was $550!
