Invoice price only matters if you can get a dealer to sell you one for that amount....

Edmunds.com has accurate invoice pricing. Also plan to add about $200 for a port fee charged by Audi to the dealer, as well as about 0.5% of MSRP (depending on the local market) for dealer advertising fees.

To hear it told around here, nobody pays more than $800 under invoice for an Audi.

For what it's worth, bought mine about a month ago. Basically I got the "cash" price of "what others are paying" from Edmunds.com Now, one has to factor in.... that I was trading a vehicle...and on that... I got the middle of the high/low/middle "trade value" on Edmunds.

All in all....walking up, getting a S-line, and the prices...well I felt it was a fair deal. My thought process has always been...if I like the product, it's not breaking my bank, and I don't feel ripped off, I'll buy it. Fair deal/sold. I've never been the "I gotta screw the seller into submission" kinda guy. Guess that's why I'm still working for "the man"....that dang "man"....lol.

Good Luck! Hope this helps.

UNDER invoice??

Whomever claims that also claims they pack 12 inches and only date supermodels.

I am guessing you meant OVER invoice.

$800 under invoice isn't unheard of when buying cars, even Audi. Dealers have good days and like pushing out cars - some more than others.

Now, on an A5, I have no idea. It all depends on the market.

Nope, I mean under invoice. It's more prevalent on the A4 forum, but plenty of folks claim to have paid signficantly under invoice. Perhaps some of these guys mean sticker when they say invoice, but they definitely say they pay under invoice.

Under invoice is quite possible for A4 if you negotiate hard, especially if it's on the dealer's lot already but I doubt it'll fly for A5.
