Default Wheel Spacers

Has anyone here installed wheel spacers on their A5/S5 Quattro? As I have the 19" Y-spoke wheels, I am wondering what effect, if any, 10mm or 15mm spacers would have on handling. Would the wheels' stance further out look bad/stupid or if just unwise to do this, why?
Also, they DO have to go on all 4 wheels, right? (because of the AWD)

Just pushes the wheels out more for a wider stance and a more aggressive look. No you don't have to do all four wheels as the spacers have nothing do with the overall diameter of the wheel but it wouldn't make sense to do just one.

There are many threads on this subject to you may want to do some research on what looks best. I tried 25MM/30MM (f/r) which was a little much and settled on 20MM/25MM which is perfect IMHO. Good luck!

Yes, I did search here on AudiWorld but found references to almost all vehicles BUT the A5/S5. Thanks for your 20/25mm opinion. Are you implying 20mm on the front and 25mm on the back, QuattroWerks?

I just had 15mm front & 20mm rear spacers put on last week. No discernabe handling or ride differences that I have noticed. The car just have a more aggressive stance now. Will try to post some pictures when I get the car washed and cleaned up in a few days.

Is your car lowered as well, or no?

Not lowered. Stock suspension for now. Not sure if I want to lower it yet. The stock set up is firm but still very comfortable. I am concerned that if I lowered it, the suspension will become too stiff for a daily driver.

I felt this way too and after installing just H&R springs, it was definitely a little painful. With a switch to coilovers, no issues whatsoever as the car rides nearly as well as stock IMHO.

QuattroWerks - you installed H&R coil-overs as I recall, right? Had any time at the track with this setup?
