Wow, that B8 A4 forum is brutal

There are only a few real rabblerousers.
Even most of those are fair 90% of the time.
The worst of those offenders were here on the A5 forum just prior to it's launch.
They have now shifted over to the B8 forum for the fresh meat.

Audi is making amazing cars
It used to be that Audi was behind BMW in terms of design and engineering. However, now Audi is making amazing cars with top notch design and engineering. I think it has to do with Audi having the goal to beat both Mercedes and BMW and not rest on their laurels. BMW has become arrogant and losing the advantage.
As a BMW owner, that is why I am considering a new Audi as my next car over a BMW or Mercedes. I do still like some BMW like the M cars but Audi has the edge now for design and top interiors over austere plain BMW designs. Well have to go to the Audi event at the La Jolla lodge in San Diego for the test drive event of the new 2009 A4. I will let you guys know how I enjoy the new A4. I cant wait to get up close and personal to my dream car the R8!!

correction; 1/2 of them are Audi owners who are being forced to consider BMWs by AoA's poor planning
I always voice my displeasure with AoA's poor judgement, such as:
No A3 2.0t quattro
No A3 2.0t manual (no DSG for me)
No B8 2.0t quattro manual until after the new year.
No TT 2.0t quattro manual
No TT 2.0t manual (no DSG please)
My fear is that Audi will become more and more like Benz in that they are know for lux boats with automatic transmissions. But then, Audi sales keep climbing, so maybe they should not listen to people like me.

I agree with you. Tim has been drinking the company Kool-Aid and doesn't see the poor decisions
that Audi USA is making... I worked for adidas for over 11 years, and I didn't agree with all their decisions...so you don't have to agree with everything. Audi is pushing away customers that actually like to drive cars. Some examples..
Audi should have offered a A3 2.0TQ, stick from day one...
They should have had an A5 2.0T...
Should have had the A4 2.0TQ stick for the September intro...
I could go on, but that is enough for now... And yes, I do own a A4 1.8T Avant 2004, 6 spd.
