My question is — why would you WANT to either control the passenger’s seat from the driver’s controls or sync the two seats together?

I have S5 SB and had an A5 loaner a few days ago. I noticed in its MMI it has the option of Passenger seat under Vehicle setting > Seats. In there are 2 options:
1. To use Driver's side seat control to adjust passenger's position.
2. To sync up passenger's seat position with that of driver's by confirming on MMI.

I then got my S5 SB back, explored in OBDEleven and found:

enabling_easyentry_front_passengers_seat_adjustmen et_by_driver

Putting this to active calls out the additional Passenger seat option in MMI to allow for passenger seat adjustment through Driver's control. However, functionally it does not work (no response).
Also I am missing the option to sync up with driver's position.

Anyone had explored this and may know the solution?
I tried playing around with this as well but I don’t think it’s possible for the S5. The A5 you got, was it a coupe? Strange that the A5 had that option. Did you verify it worked. It could also be a limitation of the sport seats in the S5 since it has a massage feature and the A5 does not.

I can control my passenger seat and I didn't even have to code it. I have a coupe.

it may be a limitation of the Sportback.

It's actually quite useful.....2 reasons:

1: my inner sense of calm feels better if the seats are aligned the same and I'm in the car on my own.....

2: if if the mother is in the car she has no bloody clue how to do stuff so it means I can do it whilst sat in the driver's seat.

1) To position the passenger seat to give you the most un-obstructed view through the side windows? Or if the passenger is unable to do it themselves (disabled, or inept).
2) Symmetry, peace, calm and order.

I turned on the lane assist but don't feel and steering or vibration. The lines light up green but nothing happens when I drift. I activated using the apps instead of manual. Anyone have any idea why it's not working?

This is awesome. Is there a list somewhere of the available apps that come with obdeleven for the b9 Audi A5 before I buy it?I’m not sure I’m willing to do any long coding myself.

You can download the OBDEleven app to your android device — free of charge from the GooglePlay store — and look at what’s available before buying the dongle.
