This is the feedback from the other side I was looking for. I have a lot of friends that tinker with cars and all were saying go with the older car because of the engine lol.

I would enjoy the tech and new interior and less repairs with current car.
when you’ve had enough with the drivetrain and willing to spend $1k throw an APR tune at it. It will look and sound like stock but will definitely not let you down in performance.
everyone says the handling, stiffness, and drivetrain are leagues better in the b9. I concur after driving two b9 cars in the last month and I have owned a b8.5 for over two years.

This is the only negative aspect of the B9 A5. Factory speed limiter in North America. This was on a recent cross-country trip. I'll get a tune after the warranty expires. Note my avatar and Bonneville Salt Flats album from an earlier trip where it is easy to drive faster on the open roads out West. That's in my D3 A8

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I really appreciate it. I'm going to stick with the A5 and add an ECU tune to the car. Like someone else mentioned, I'll just save my money and maybe get a B10 S5 down the line ;-)
